There seems to be fluid on the ground under both wheels so I'm hoping it was messed up calipers that is a sucky day, I know cause I've been there on other cars I've owned.

My brother in law works at a Chevy shop and was helping me work on my pads... Hardcore grinding... Thought it was the front ended up being the rear pass side the slides were frozen guide pins frozen and caliper stuck shut.. Chewed up my rotor... And the caliper bracket was rusted out.... No one's sells the bracket or the want to much.... Freaking crazy lol

Hmmm, 7 year old truck exposed to Ohio winters and salt? Doesn't sound crazy to me, somewhat normal really. The thing I always try to keep in mind is what would the same repair have cost me to pay someone else to do it? IMO, you're still WAY ahead of the curve. ;)

Gorecki makes a great point. Someone else take me for instance would be donating plasma to pay for the repair lol.
