Every time I drive list

Tires
Damage
Lights
Leaks

Once a week

Oil
Trans fluid
Washer fluid
Coolant

Every fill up

Oil
Trans fluid
Washer fluid
Coolant
Check actual tire pressure (one has a slow leak so I loose about 1-2psi in 2 weeks)

Me being in school still damage is a must since there are a bunch of kids that thinks its funny to mess with others people's stuff. The one time they stuck cups of ice cream in my exhaust tips. Of course it melted so I just let it blow all over the kids car.

I put my truck through a specialized MRI scanner before I start it every day.

Actually I know what's going on and service my vehicles all the time. With tire pressure sensors and all of the gauges and computer diagnostics I'm alerted to most issues quite a bit in advanced. About the only "daily" inspection I do is check for people who might have doored me.

I walk up to the truck, open it. stick the key in the ignition and turn it so all the gauges and lights on the dash turn on and the fuel pump starts putting pressure on the lines. Then I start the engine. If there's a cat or some other animal under the hood it probably heard me and ran off already.

The I check the turn signals every other day. But you always know when they're not working when they start clicking at double speed.

headlights I check them by using the shiny surfaces around me while driving =D

I pay attention to every strange noise, usually they come from other vehicles but I'm always afraid or getting stranded. that keeps me on my toes.

Tires, lights, fluid checks every weekend. Had a tail light go out during the week, got a ticket. Sheriff's dept. charged me to sign off on the fix; court charged me to clear the ticket. That was a $32 tail light.

in my aread (DC area) it's being taken over by foreigners (one thing obama ain't tellin you in middle usa - they are creating an illegals haven in DC area using tax money printed)

people look for inspectors to put a sticker on without any inspection

-------------------
best way to spend more, get towed, get injured

don't have a master tech look at it, just get the sticker

First post here!
I just bought my first car (well, in this case, first truck) a 98 Chevy 1500!

I get a chance to look all around my truck every time I get in, because the lock cylinder on the driver's door doesn't work so I have to unlock it from the passenger side, then go around to the drivers side to get in.

I also usually check underneath the truck before I start it to make sure nothing's leaking, especially because we just did an oil change and a bunch of other stuff.

Daily:
Coffee, smokes, cell phone, wifi hot spot, ray bans.

Weekend when i get to my spot:
Make a fire, drink few cans of beer, walk around the truck for few hours until out of breath, checking everything and cleaning it so its spotless. Next, try to come up with an another mod that does not represent a redneck.
Drink more beer.

I'm a stickler when it comes to checking for dents and dings! But really I monitor my tire air pressure regularly.

Kick the tires and light the fire...
if its gonna happen its gonna happen out there boss...

my check is at the gas station every week
tires
oil (both engine and transmission)
coolant
windshield fluid
and a mpg calculation

for a daily check i just make sure my tires aren't looking low
