Dante,
They look a little blue in the picture. Is that accurate? Is there a pure white version?

A license plate tag light is not going to make a huge difference and I bet you will not be able to tell much of it with your reverse camera. I have 5W CREE LED Reverse cargo style light on mine. They are brighter but, even with them the difference in light with my back up camera is marginal.. I still get more light using the brakes when backing up. http://retro-solutions.net/product-info ... rod_id=699

Keep in mind that Camera's do pick up a lot of the blue in the light spectrum. I can insure you that these are white but a cooler white vs a warmer white.

Ive never heard of anyone using this as a reverse light? Not sure why you would want to use it as a reverse light. But have you see our reverse light with the 3 watt head for your guys trucks? Will be posting a link and product to them today. LIke i said not sure why you would use your liscnese plate or brake lights to back up :?

I added the those 5 watt LED back up lights, not tag lights (mine are still the OEM bulbs) to help add more light when backing at night, both when looking behind and hoped to achieve more light for the reverse camera too. I do not think a tag light is going to help that is why I posted the link to those LED reverse bulbs. Are they brighter? I think so but I didn't get as much light when viewing the camrea screen at night as I hoped to. And yes, using the brakes at night to help illuminate the area around the back of the truck does add more light for the camera screen. Even with the addition of those LED's, the brake lights still appear to give more light for this.

We are putting the LED Bulbs up for the reverse bulbs too as well in a little bit. Along with the Interior Kit.
