2007 silverado crew cab lt 2wd. i am getting ready to buy the rc 3.5" kit and moto metal 951 wheels (20+9) with 33+12.50+20 tires. can anybody tell me what offset i need to get?? thanks
another question- is a 33 12.50 20 the same a a 305 55 20???
yes those are the same size tire. and the + offset will make the tire suck bad into the wheelwale a negative offset will make the tire stick out of the wheelwale. depends on what your looking for i think mine is a +12 offset and its just a bit inside the fender. but im planning on buying something negative offset to give me that wide stance
The 305's are 33" x 12" so they are 1/2" narrower.
The first pic is a 20 x 9 with +12mm offset, the second is with a 0mm offset. The +12mm should do.
Oh I guess I should state the grey one is a factory 17" rim and the green one is the 20" rim.
I think the moto metal's look best with a higher offset. I was looking for those exact same wheels, I was going to put Bf goodrich AT KO 285/55/20 on it.
YES! NNBS trucks have boxed fenders and they are not negative offset friendly. I have close to 6 inches of lift up front and had to trim a bunch of plastic front and back of wheel well to run 33's on a zero offset.
You said you had a truck with a 6" lift and still had to trim. I want to see the actual trimming for a 6" lift. It's a reasonable request. Don't get your panties in a wad.
