Could be the valve cover gaskets leaking oil that is dropping onto the exhaust manifolds. The air intake for the heater/AC is on the passengers side cowl above the exhaust manifold. The fumes are probably being sucked right into the cab after burning off the exhaust manifold.

The oil isnt low, checked that, just bought this last monday, so it had a oil change from dealer, was thinking it might of been done sloppy. but that should've burned off if it was just oil from not wiping some residual oil.

It could be they spilled some. It depends on how much they spilled and how long it has been driven since they spilled it. If it's a very bad leak at all, it should be obvious where it is leaking from.

That's where I'd put my money. If you've had an oil change recently (even checked with a few drips on the engine) the cooked oil smell will get sucked right up by the air intake.

The dealership that's been doing my service did this badly enough I could smell the oil cooking for a week and after opening the hood saw oil splattered in various places, man I was pissed. It's one thing to have a dribble or a booboo, it's another to not clean it up!
