It seems to me that the fan & motor would restrict air flow when it isn't being powered.Just my 2cents.

That's funky....looks like an advance version of those old tornado devices.

I personally don't like it. It seems to me you cannot force more air in through the same restricted tube regardless of how many whirly gigs you throw on it...

yea seems kinda like it wouldnt change much unless you had it spinning all the time which is not recomended. weird little device, in the end run probably better to get a full supercharger..

If you've got the funds/time/experience to throw in a full supercharger, I wouldn't even compare these two options.....that's gonna be the grand daddy of performance upgrades, in terms of benefit, difficulty level (there are others on this difficulty such as cams, porting, etc.), and cost. Have fun if you put that much in, you will have my envy.

I have only ever heard bad things about those electric superchargers, but have yet to see anybody actually throw one on and get some numbers for it. If that little fan is developing 5 psi of boost (and who knows where they might be measuring it to get that number) then it's probably running really fast and at 900 watts of power, it's gonna be getting pretty warm and throwing extra hot air into the motor, which you don't want. Not to mention the extra amp draw you're going to be having with it on will be more work for your alternator.

All that being said, I say go for it! and make sure to get some numbers for a couple tanks of fuel before and after the install so we can get some hard proof on whether or not these things work. The world needs guinea pigs!

That thing is a blower motor for a boat that they call a "supercharger." you could build one yourself for about $40. Its a SCAM, they don't work. ricers dont even buy them.

DO NOT buy this. Complete waste of money and a scam. Just like those "Tornado" things on ebay for $15 that if you put in your intake tube will give you 23 extra mpgs.
