Where's the best place to purchase supercharger/ turbo for our GMC's with a 4.8L?
Feedback from folks that have installed a supercharger or Turbo?

Black Bear performance will come with a EFI live tuner and a real tune. the tune that came with my Magnuson TVS1900 from Magnuson was junk. If sc go with the Magnuson TVS1900. great oem quality sc

Supercharger/ Turbo

Postby GarrettCobb » Jan 08 2013, 6:44am

Don't have any experience, but STS makes. Rear mounted turbo that provides 100 horsepower increase with only 5psi
Many many good reports about them, and very simple installation.
I'd go turbo hands down any day

i've had plenty of turbo cars but i would think a supercharger would be better suited for the truck. before jumping in it may be worth researching if the internals will need to be beefed up prior to boosting.

Supercharger/ Turbo

Well the gaskets are good for 5-8 psi
But the pistons and rings give out around 6, if you always drive it hard
