I think I have a calapsed lifter... I heard this is a common problem - I have changed my spark plugs and changed the #1 fuel injector and plug wire...still ...

I have changed my spark plugs and changed the #1 fuel injector and plug wire...still missing so i tore down the top end hoping to be able to change my lifters... Didnt realize I have to pull the head too! I noticed a little scoring on my cam ... Do I need to change that too? or can i just replace the roller lifters/

Yeah check your coil pack sounds like its not even sparking to me. You could get just to see if you have spark the ol fashion way. Take the plug out put the boot back on it and ground it against something metal like your manifolds and see if there's spark.

Just a thought though, what kind of plugs are you running? These new engine are kinda picky and only like the AC Delco that the manufacturer put on it. They work the best anyway. You could have coincidentally put a bad plug back on it. Say what you want but it happens, mass produced products don't have the quality they used to.

I put 6 brand new AC Delco plugs and wires on my 97 4.3 Sonoma and half of them were bad. They said every now and then there's a "bad batch". Try a little hotter plugs too like iridium plugs. Keep us updated

I checked the plug wire....I was getting spark to that cylinder.... The amber light came on as well. I was told that this has been an issue with these motors... dunno if that is true or not.

Good think about GM. If something does happen to an engine it's usually small and will still allow you to drive anywhere you need.
