Best tuner/ programmer

I have always wanted to give my truck a little boost in speed and horse power, so i am looking into getting an electric programmer. I was looking at bully dogs and the other various brands. But i was wondering if anyone has a brand that they prefer or know that works really well in conjunction with the silverado series. I have a 2005 silverado with the 5.3 vortec. :D

Best tuner/ programmer

Most of the many conversations about this topic tend to lean towards Diablo. I'd do a search about this topic, hundreds of threads will be returned. That's what I have been doing... Lots and lots of reading.

The biggest difference is the instant support that u receive by Lew here... Its hard to get that cs from other companies. And he can provide custom tunes at a discount when purchased together!

That's what's always been my driving force when considering a part like a tuner. Customer service is very important.

I agree with Machster69, The diablo tune is literally an email away as to Blackbear you have to send in your PCM

I think Black Bear also has a cable they can ship you so you can E-Tune with them. But at the end you have to send the cable back leaving you no option of returning it back to stock for service visits. With the Trinity/inTune you can E-tune with Lew and return it back to stock as well as data log any time you want. And yes, every single thread leads to Diablo, it tends to be the best bang for the buck other than the TCM support issue with the inTune. If you talk to Lew, he is going to recommend the Trinity over the inTune anyway mainly because the Trinity has TCM support and all the other cool features.

I'm lucky that I live within driving distance of Blackbear, San Diego, CA area. I got the in person-tune and am very happy. Justin, of Blackbear, does travel, you just have to research when and where.
