It's not Victory Red exactly but it's close enough for me. The color I got is safety red.

I always struggle with how to best mask off the areas where I do not want paint. How did you guys get this so clean? I want to do mmine, but need some tips on getting a professional look.

I just looked at the cover and decided which areas I wanted to remain black and masked them off. I pressed the tape hard around the edges and carefully trimmed with a razor knife. It takes time and patience it took me about 2 hrs. There was a little paint that seeped under the tape here and there but not much.

Did you have to prep the cover in any way (other than cleaning it)? That is an awesome mod that I am seriously considering doing, possibly this weekend.

I've been slowly doing a silver/carbon fiber theme. I've only done the Oil filler cap, coolant reservoir cap, and brake fluid cap so far. I still have the power steering fluid cap to do and paint the oil and tranny dipstick handles silver. I'm still deciding on what the do to engine cover, though. Yours looks very professional and matches the engine bay wonderfully! I'm impressed.

I did clean the areas I painted with isopropyl alcohol before I painted it. I also used an adhesion promoter just to be safe as I had it left over from when I painted my Camaro cover. Not certain you need to use it however as many people on the Camaro forum just used paint and did not have any problems with it sticking or peeling off I was just being cautious when I got it.
