Fuel injector cleaner or just changing the spark plugs would be a cheap and easy way to make sure that there isnt anything else going on..its possible its all in your head.sometimes i hear a squeek or feel something in my steering wheel..sometimes i make myself believe somethings wrong with there is nothing wrong at all lol
Crap, my hampster fell off the wheel and it broke its leg.

just checked my fuel pressure regulater and fuel came out of the vacuum line. pretty sure that means the diaphrams shot.

koolzz71. i have 80,000 on the spark plugs and about 5,000 on the wires(two of them rubbed, dip stick and steering colum).

There is a good place to start, replace your fuel pressure regulator and plug wires. Keep us updated if that fixes your problem.

The fastest way to clean your fuel injectors is to fill up with Shell or Mobil premium fuel. This stuff works! See this link:http://www.toptiergas.com/index.html

After the initial cleaning, if you continue to use the STANDARD (87 octane) grade of the brands listed in the link, your fuel system and intake valves will remain clean.

I try to use top tier as much as possible. I also run a can of Sea Foam through the tank every 3,000 miles or so. I have never had a fuel system issue. Good gas is as important as good oil!
