Fuel Pressure Regulator Issue

Not sure if this is in the right location, mods please move it if I'm wrong.

So I have two codes:
P0440 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System
P0452 - Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

Also, whenever I went to pump gas today, a lot of pressure was released when I removed the fuel cap. I've been looking around the web and know that these two codes are related.

Could there be an underlying issue that is causing the built up pressure? A lot of places online say I need to replace the fuel tank press sensor, but I feel like maybe the sensor is working correctly (since there's abnormally high pressure) and maybe theres a pressure release valve or something thats faulty?

I replaced the fuel pump 6 months ago and have been driving it without an issue ever since.

Thoughts?
