No. And you have to be careful of what you put in there. That plastic is special material so it doesnt collapse when it is at high throttle and heated up. Why do you want to remove it?

I know a company started doing this for the Civic Si's (06-11) but I haven't seen just a slick plastic or aluminum tube to replace the stocker. If you find something, post it up, I am sure that all the people that have stock boxes and K&N filters would love to have a better tube.

Just a tip on an experience I had with my Toyota Soarer 2.5 TT (Lexus SC300)... I got rid of the stock intake and installed some cold air intake I found on eBay... So it was basically a piece of aluminum pipe and a cone shaped filter (like K&N), and no sort of boxed housing..... Rainy days sucked.. My beautiful 1JZGTE Motor was sucking in water and sputtering.

Lesson learned, don't take shortcuts, buy the right thing:

Airaid makes a " Jr Intake "

gives you a better flowing panel filter, and also gives you a smooth plastic intake pipe. It keeps the factory airbox...

I just found the kit Caldwell posted about, I think the Air Raid Jr. Kit fits exactly what you are looking for.

Here's a link to their sales website. I would get the part number you need and google it for the best price.

I did this intake last week and I love everything about it. I wanted the factory filter box also cuz I have a drop in K&N plus the factory box is a true cold air intake. I recommend it!
