Plug wires

Plug wires

What are the best replacement plug wires for a 02? What about good middle of the road serviceable replacements that won't break the bank? Probably should replace the stockers after a 256k and 10 years.

Go get some from GM, the first ones you had lasted 250k. You get what you pay for.

That was kinda my thinking after reading so many mixed reviews on all aftermarket brands. Plus I will be at the dealer tomorrow anyway.

Thanks!

First, you have probably purchased your wire set by now so my response won't matter to you. But for others interested in this subject, it is interesting to note that one can purchase GM "Performance Wires" as well as stock wires. The performance wires may have a better (thicker & silicone) jacket than the oem wires. Not sure about their resistance rating.
Premium aftermarket wires are almost always going to have silicone jackets. Many will be substantially thicker than stock to promote more voltage getting to the plugs, which in turn helps the voltage jump the gap with more authority, or under higher load conditions such as high rpm use.
Finally, from a "cool" standpoint, running red or blue or yellow 8.5mm or 10mm wires is noticeable and may enhance the appearance of your underhood mods.

Thanks for the input. I picked up a set of stockers at the local dealer for about 85 bucks.
