hello, just picked up a used 1999 silverado from a friend. im used to driving camaros elusively, so this is a new journey for me. i knew the truck had a bad fuel pump, and changed it with no problem. the batt was dead in the truck, so i put a new one in it. but when i went to crank it, i have no power to the fuel pump, and the security message is flashing on the message center. another friend told me that the security system had been tripped when i switched the batteries out, and i would have to have the truck pulled to the local chevy dealer to have it turned off. and i found in the owners manual that the fuel system would be shut down in the event of the system being tripped. is there anyway to fix this myself, or is this something i have to take to the gm dealership. thanks for any help you can give me
