Spark plugs

Postby Chasmanian [OP] » Apr 02 2011, 7:09am

Ok,
Getting ready to do a tune up on my 07 GMC 5.3
Wondering what you guys are running for plugs?
I have always liked NGK's but am open for options.
Anything that can ad power or fuel economy is always a plus.

Thanks
Buying things I don't need to impress people I don't know.

We just had this discussion. See this thread: Spark plugs
This thread was a discussion regarding a member's 2004 truck, but all of the comments would apply to you as well, I believe.

Since 2004 most all GM engines have Iridium plugs standard and DO NOT need to be changed for 100,000 miles. I know my 2004 GMC had them in as OEM and I seen a GM bulletin that recommends them over Platinum plugs. Iridium can withstand much hotter temps.

Fyi-NGK is a maker of many oem plugs
