Take a read through the tuner threads (there are many) in the Engine forum. I take it your looking at everything (chips, programmers, and tune shops). I run a Hypertech programmer on the same engine you have.

BTW welcome abaord!

I have a SCT with More Power Tuning custom tunes. you can find him on ebay under $379 for tuner w/3 custom tunes. Custom tunes is the best way to go. There great to work with and will change your tunes for 6mo for free.

I see that most of you seem to favor the more expensive tuners and enjoy the different levels of performance they offer. However, I am intrigued by the "GF tuner advertised for 69 dollars on this forum. Have any of you tried this unit or have any knowledge of it. For the price, it seems to offer a gob of performance and mileage. Just curious if it's advertizing hype or a decent unit. This would be for a 2002 Silverado 5.3 extended cab with 2/wd. Thanks in advance....

They're a rip-off. I tried one on my last truck, and it only cause problems. Avoid those things at all costs.
