Had been looking at one of these when I do a cam upgrade. Seveal articles I have read also suggest an LS6 intake as another option.

The Fast intake is nice, but at 1,000+ I think I would put that into savings for an intake with some rotors built in that can produce boost. What is the LS6 intake going for?

I found the LS6 intake for around 450.00, nearly the same spec and much cheaper. The issue was the clearance in the front of the motor, I think a tensioner pully is in the way but there is a mod for it. There is a big old post at performancetrucks about it, and every experts opinion. Good info but confusing. I decided to get enough info to be dangerous and let the tuner / builder and the shop here review and suggest once I type "A" it to death.

I know this is a very old post but I was wondering if you installed a new intake and how it worked out for you.

After looking at the flow of the stock unit and the researched intake we decided it would be fine for the future FI mods.
