You say one thing but I am actually seeing different results. My trucks performance, regardless of your history lesson and where you claimed to work, has shown that the E3 plugs do improve your trucks performance. You WILL get increased acceleration and mileage! I'm not some idiot that you can spit off a bunch of technical stuff to and not understand. Maybe if you read the whole post you will understand what I am doing. I wanted to know what they would do because of curiosity from a ton of reviews, so I'm finding out. Like I said before if you didnt bother to read the previous posts, E3 plugs are NOT 100,000 mile plugs! Let me repeat if you skipped that sentence ;) E3 plugs are NOT 100,000 mile plugs! Get it!? Everyone on here knows that and I want to find out how long they will last before performance drop. Will post my results as I continue to monitor my ride. When its over, I will give everyone the final mileage and install my OEM spark plugs I have sitting on standby like I planned on doing.

Thanks for reading and your input, but if you are trying to "educate me" because you think you are the only one who knows about spark plugs. Save it for some one else.

Another thing, I'm going to post some pictures of spark plugs later after this is over. I know AC Delco is better (Thats all I ran before in my blazer, lasabre, and impala) but there are some things I want to see for myself. And when someone asks me about these plugs again, I will have hard documented proof of their performance and longevity from personal experience.

Today, I looked at the trip meter and it is up to 5427 miles on the E3 plugs. Still runs strong as the day I put them in. Starts right up and roars (that's because of flow-master mufflers and not the plugs), no indication of misfire during idle and acceleration is still smooth and aggressive. I do notice a slight loss of power in acceleration after driving for 30 minutes or so. Acceleration is still smooth, just not as strong and neck jerking. Power loss is only noticeable if you are flooring it from stopping position. Could not tell difference when accelerating on the highway or when driving the speed limit. Still seems to show same power increase I noticed when I first put them in. Gas mileage is still holding up. On a full tank, I can go 1.5 weeks between fill ups (that's when I'm not hot rodding around town.)

Will continue to track progress through the first week in march 2012, then I have to pull the E3s and put in my Delcos' back in for a cross country trip (it will be time for annual maintenance anyway). That will conclude my test of these in a 05 GMC Z71 with a 5.3 vortec V8.

So far, they are turning out to do everything they said they should do. E3 plugs are copper plugs with a special tip; price at Oreilly Auto parts for $5.99 per plug. AC Delco plugs, well we all know they are made with better material, are priced at $7.99 per plug. Delco's are 100,000 mile plugs, E3 is yet to be determined but differently not going to reach 100k. I'm guessing the life of this plug is going to be around 5-10,000 miles which is equivalent to 1 year of drving for most people.

everyone on here is just giving you their experience with the plugs, by all means believe what you want. most poeple dont want to change their spark plugs at 10k miles so the iridium's or platinum's are the way to go in most cases. i would like to know what your actual mpg is. not what the computer says but what is your mpg is. if you fill up your gas tank reset the trip odometer then fill up a week later and divide the mileage by the gallons used. with the stock style plugs then the E3's

Why would you ask a question if you might get an answer you do not want to hear? I think he answered your origional question with some valid information. He was certainly not lecturing you or calling you an idiot.

I know everyone is giving their experience with the plugs and that is fine. Not everyone is going to have the same result and that's why I decided to find out for myself. There are alot of mixed reviews about these things and I want to know what really happens, not what someone else said which could be exaggerated due to satisfaction or frustration. I know all about the Iridiums and swear by them, but it I must see first hand the performance of the E3s. Here is the answer to your question.

I put in exactly 20 gallons last week (that topped off my tank) and did my normal driving (no hot rodding or hard accelerations). trip odometer said 146 after 7 days. I have a 24 gallon tank so I would presume I used between 6-8 gallons at that point since i was at 3 quarters of a tank. dividing both of those numbers by miles driven that week (146) I got a range from 18.25 to 24.33 mpg. Keep in mind I also have other modifications as well (custom exhaust, ram air intake, and after today a performance tuner).

Today I pulled them out to see what they looked like. didnt find nothing out of the ordinary. each one has signs of normal wear according to my repair manual and online pictures. its almost time to pull these completely and I must say, I'm satisfied so far. Since I got my performance tuner in the mail today, I'm sticking a fork in this deal and going back to my delcos.

Thanks everyone for your input and knowledge. I apologize if I sounded angry in one of my previous posts. Was having a bad work week. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I hope what I found out about these plugs has shedded a little light on the matter. Overall, E3 is a good plug, but for our trucks there is a reason why the factory ac delcos cost 50% more. I guessing if I kept those E3s in they probably would go more than 10k miles because of the copper contents. who knows. Anyway, time to re-tune my truck! :D

Its not about someone answering a question and getting an answer you want to hear. My response was about him telling me that what I am experiencing is not happening and if he bothered to read all of the posts instead of just one, he would have realized that I was doing something out of curiosity and will replace the Delco's when I'm done. Not that it really matters now, but that is was I was responding to. I already know AC Delco makes a better plug; I wanted to know how long the other ones REALLY last. Reviews are one thing, Actual Experience is another. thanks for your reply

I guess I missed that part. I read the whole thread and I didn't see where someone said something was not happening that you said was. If I missed it, my bad. I guess you came to the same conclusion that he did; the plugs are all hype and not really worth the money. Thanks for letting us know whay you found out.

The problem with this logic is my gas gauge reads 3/4 after burning 10-11 gallons of my 24 gallon tank.
