i changed the oil in my truck put 6 quarts back in it and started it up and the check engine oil level light stayed on i dont understand y cuz it was runnin a half qurt low be4 i changed it and it was just fine i used the same type of oil that was in it and its not runnin any different any ideas on what i should check

It sounds like the float in the oil pan got stuck in the down position when you drained the oil to change it. Try taking a rubber mallot and tapping the oil pan to see if you can unstick the float.
