I was driving down the highway today and I suddenly lost the power to accelerate. The display said reducing engine power, took it to the mechanic and he said I needed a new throttle sensor. He said that would be why I was lost power and then was able to regain the power after a while. Is this a common problem? And does this sound right?
Yes! So common that depending on your year(im on tapa and cant see) it is warrantied for 10 years.
Edit: just used safari and see your listed with a 2004, i dont think this year is part of the extended coverage. That said, yes, on the 2007+ trucks, this part causes the same symptom you describe!
Alright thanks. I don't wanna be hauling and it break down again. Appreciated.
