no power after new exhaust

I have a 2000 chev 2500 6.0L v8...ran good and got about 14MPG...Installed a cat back dual exhaust system with glass packs and H pipe...now I have no low end power between 1000 and 1800 RPMs...just bogs down....no engine light...

This is due to the loss of back pressure while you loose some low end it will give you much better high end gas milage

In your situation tho if its dramatic is because the o2 sensors could have less accuracy

Not sure how long you have driven the truck since the exhaust work, but it may take a little time till the computer realizes the change made and adjust for it?

Thanks guys...just to fill you in it took about 80 miles of drive time for the computer to recalibrate...put 200 miles on it...only got 12MPG highway....this sucks big time....any ideas?

I'm guessing the recalibration time had some serious effect on that calculation. Give it one more fill-up.
