Performance needed!!!!!

Performance needed!!!!!

Postby 06gmcguy81 [OP] » Feb 05 2013, 2:20pm

I own a 2006 GMC 2500HD with the 6.0L. I've been researching CAI and programmers. I think I'm going to go with the Airaid Jr. with a drop in AFE filter and the DIablosport intune. I own a Mac computer so I'm not sure if the Diablo is compatible with it. I plan on buying the Diablo because no one has had anything but good results and "Lew" can give you a custom tune which is sweet. I need power when I tow my 5th wheel and a little more economy when I'm traveling. Please give me your input so I can finally buy some upgrades for my pickup!!!

just replied to your other post too, heh....

the diablosport inTune is compatible with Macs, as far as dragging/dropping files to it... but you will not be able to use the data logging software to view data logs or anything, since diablo's software is all Windows software...

the same goes for the auto-updater on the inTune... you're going to have to download the updates manually and copy them into the intune in order to update it to the latest updates, as well as send diablosport a copy of the info.xml file from it so that they can create a new one for you in order to get your intune registered, so that it will allow you to do all updates.. the send that file back to you and you'll need to import that info.xml file into your intune to register it...

now.. if you have a Windows PC or laptop you can use, all of that stuff is done automatically for you by the auto-updater program... ;)

if you're interested in getting the inTune, let me know.. I can hook you up! I also offer a package deal for it that includes my custom tuning at a reduced cost so you'd save $$. ;)

Yea I definitely am interested in the intune! What kind of deal will you be able to swing with your custom tuning? I've read enough to know that when you've done a custom tune everyone has been more than happy with the results. Is that just one tune that you do or do you offer so many tunes over a given time? I will be looking to purchase as soon as tax season somewhat rewards me!

Has anyone installed an Airaid MIT with a drop in filter? What are you opinions of the performance pairing with a tuner and an Airaid MIT?

Thanks Lew for the offer but the wife has given me a budget and I won't be able to afford a package deal just yet. When I do receive my intune will their support be able to guide me thru the registration since I have a Mac comp? Also, will I be able to do custom tunes with my Mac?

yes, diablo will be able to hook you up with the registration file and info you'll need to do that.. plus they can tell ya all the files you'll need to download so that you can manually update the intune to all the latest updates manually... I would, but #1 - I can't create the info.xml files the way they need to be, and #2 - I don't know exactly what or where the latest individual files are to update with, since I don't do it manually, heh..

and yes you'll still be able to get a custom tune, because when connected to your mac, it shows up as a usb drive.. so you just copy/paste tune files to/from the intune in order to import/export tune files.. ;)
