I couldn't see the video, but I could tell by the audio that's not how I would break in a new truck.

Shouldnt hurt it at all, not doing it just that once. I would not keep doing it. If I was to even go and test drive a new sports car that would be the first thing id do. Wouldnt nessicarly do it in a truck just because I dont buy a truck for the speed and hp, I have no need to do burnouts in a truck. But a new Camaro, oh yeah id do it even if the salesman was in the car.

No, I'm sure it's ok. I'm just saying I would not do that with a new vehicle. These days you almost have to take a mortgage out on a vehicle with the price of them. I would not make doing that a weekly occurance though.

Breaking in the new 6.2

Postby yamafam [OP] » Jul 23 2012, 7:09am

It had about 5000 km at the time so it was pretty well broke in. If something went in the diff wouldn't that be warranty anyway?

Not if they knew you were doing that. That is considered abuse.

Breaking in the new 6.2

Nothing went wrong anyway. I had to do one good one before I put new tires on, but no I don't plan to make burnouts a weekly thing.
