Update guys. i installed the stock intake back on this morning, and sure enough the check engine light went off and has stayed off for the time being. I still plan to call Volant tomorrow and see what the deal is. I'm kind of pissed as i spent $270 bucks on the CAI and now its not even on my truck. I don't want to reprogram the ECU for a higher flow per second across the MAF, as the dealer indicated that would void my warranty (I asked that question when I was there). So i guess for the time being I am staying with the stock unit. Stay tuned as I hope to have answer from Volant on Monday. Thanks for all your guys feedback.

Because the CAI is allowing more air in, it would stand to reason the truck needs more fuel (because the fuel/air ratio needs to remain the same). Perhaps there is a fuel system issue, or bad gas? Not likely you have a fuel system issue on a new truck, but just thought I'd throw out the possibility of the truck not getting enough gas, and running lean.

EK, I thought it was bad gas at first, but I've been through 2-tanks now, so its not that. Good thinking though. The dealer says that since there is more air across the MAF, the truck is compensating by pouring in more gas which is making it run rich. In any case, as i've stated above, the stock unit is back on and the light is off at the moment.
