I just noticed in nice red bold letters beside the Subject column it says.
DO NOT use: Help me!,.. Hi,.. Newbie,.. etc.

For those who are wondering why... And I'm sure there might be a couple out wonder what difference it makes.
When I'm do a search, and using the forums search feature. And I search Transmission
It won't include your thread about transmissions if you titled your thread Help me!

Please try to include the Topic of your thread in the Title
If your talking about Tires, include tires in the title.
If your talking about brakes include brakes in your title.

You get the idea. Makes for better results in searches

I'm glad somebody noticed. I just made that helpline text bold red and underlined yesterday. Thanks for helping me get the word out that we need to focus on useful titles that describe the problem or clearly illustrate what your topic is about.

Like you mentioned, we should be using useful subjects because if you don't nobody will ever find your topic and offer help should you need it. That reason alone should motivate people to take an extra moment to construct a descriptive title.

If you guys see these in the future, feel free to PM the moderators. We try to watch for this, but now with over 1900 members (YEA!) and increasing traffic, it's hard to review everything.

x2 for highlighting the need to keep the site clean, organized, and to the point!

Even better than sending a PM would be to use the Report this post icon on the offending post so that it alerts all the staff members and includes the details of the post so we don't have to try to find it.

Ummm just so I'm clear on this... You would like us to report any threads that we notice has an inappropriate title?

Yes, absolutely. It doesn't do any harm or remove the post or anything like that... All it does is alert members of the team to the post so they can check it out.
