Best tire size for RC 3.5 inch lift?

Best tire size for RC 3.5 inch lift?

Postby Billy-R [OP] » Dec 19 2012, 1:01pm

Hey guy's, I'm new to the forum and would appreciate some advice on tire size.

I have a 2010 CC Silverado Z71 LTZ and plan on installing a Rough Country 3.5 inch lift. I'm going to go with the premium kit that includes the upper control arms.

What tire size are most guys running with this kit? Pics would also be great.

Thanks!

Look for a tire in the 33 to 34 inch range, 12 inch wide, will do nicely. Any larger and you run into rubbing problems.

here is my truck i have 305/65 r 18's (33.6x12x18) on a MB Motoring V-Drive 00 offset rim...i reccomend a size close to this.. you may rub just a hair but they will fit n fill the wheel wheel the 285/65 r 18's were 2 small for me you need a 33x 12 or 12.50 for this lift

I'd go with 33x12.50 u might rub a bit but nothing serious. I'm running 35x12.50 on mine with the RC 3.5 and it rubs a lot. Mainly in reverse or on an angle.

I have 305/55R20 on stock wheels, but I got the standard 3.5" and kept the stock UCAs
I don't rub any plastic I just rub the sway bar a bit when I turn at a hard right.

Very nice trucks! I love the look!

I plan on keeping the stock 18's for now. RC recommends the 1/4 spacer when using the stock wheel. I'm guessing this is advisable?

I read they recommend that, but I keep reading on here form various users and have been recommend not to use them. I just learned to not turn as sharp in the parking lots. I'll let someone else give you a more detailed response about that though. I will say even the Chevrolet dealer (they installed this lift for me) recommend to NOT use them either.
