Biggest tire size for a 2" rough country level kit

Postby TG1818 [OP] » Feb 16 2013, 5:17am

I have a 2011 Silverado with a 2" inch rough country leveling kit on it. I'm thinking about one day in the future moving up to a 20x9 xd monster rim and possibly a 295/55/r20 trail grappler tire. Im curious to know if I can get away with this tire and rim combination without having to lift my truck more and how much it might scrub, if any, with the 2" inch kit? Im new to the forum and would like all the help I can. Also not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to trucks. Slowly learning more and more hahaha

WELCOME to the site!
I have 18's, so I cannot answer you directly. But if you do a search of 295/55/r20, you will get about 10 pages of search results. Good Luck!

Anything larger than 33" diameter will rub while turning..

I agree a 33" is about the max that you can run without trimming. Welcome to the site. Lots of information here to search.

I am running 275/70/18 (33.2x10.8/18) on stock z71 rims with the RC 2" level, and they rub at full lock in revers. RC states that you can run a 285/70/17 or 285/65/18 which would be (32.6x11.22), so the 295/55/20 would be (32.8x11.61x20). I would think you be ok. But as mentioned above a quick search should find someone on the site that is running that setup.

There's a big difference between a 2" and a 3" levelling kit, so it's great that you don't rub but it isn't much help to the OP when his setup is completely different.

Ok, here's my problem.....I have an 07 Sierra with 2" RC leveling kit running stock right now but ordering eagle 014s in chrome with 0 offset (20s) and the tire size has me torn...... I'm going with Nitto Terra Grapplers... I know what fits, I've done my research thanks to all the great info on this site, but.... I am now curious about what LOOKS the best...... I'm thinking 275/60/20 but I don't want to look too stock I want a little width and don't want too little sidewall.... What do you guys think? Pics please. Thanks in advance!!!
