Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2's

Postby gmctruckguy [OP] » Apr 26 2012, 11:41pm

Needed to get a set of tires for the wife's Denali since I have to take it to work for awhile. Didn't want to get anything TO aggressive since its not a hard core wheeler, but needed something that was going to be capable in some dirt and mud. Decided on the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2's, decent looking tread, good price and still looks like it would have good highway manners. First drive to the city, about 75 miles each way and so far so good, it's wet here, has been raining off and on for a couple days, and no traction issues. Granted it is an AWD truck so traction isn't normally an issue. Nothing for road noise and balance was good since there is no vibration up to 75mph. I'll get a couple pics of them here shortly to show the tread. Tires were the 275/55R20's.

The Dueler's are a fine choice. I had them on my old H3. They seemed like they wouldn't wear down. Good traction too.

Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2's

Postby gmctruckguy [OP] » Apr 27 2012, 4:00am

Tread is decent like I stated, kind of wish I went with something a little more aggressive, but at least the wife won't complain about road noise or "ugly" tires on her truck. Lol

the Revo2s are pretty nice tires. i'm a Michelin//BFG only guy myself, but if i had to go outside of those two brands, i wouldn't mind the Revo2. they made the Revo2 a little more road friendly than the original Revo, but still do decently well off-road. the Michelin LTX AT2 is probably slightly more aggressive and apt as far as off-road is concerned, but still a pretty road-friendly tire.

I have owned the Revo, and the Revo 2. The first set went 55,000 miles, and the second set lasted until I bought my current truck. Both sets were amazing. Quiet, good balance, good handling, and good looks.
I have Michelin LTX M/S on our Acadia, and love them. I'd love to have the LTX AT2. I just wish Michelin did a good looking raised white letter tire. The Revo is a good looking tire. Michelin is boring. Not saying I would not buy the BEST overall tire, but in a tie, the run goes to the better looking, which is the Revo.

I had over 45k on the Revo IIs I had on my Cummins, they were around 1/2 worn. They do fairly well in about everything: dirt, snow, sand, mud, rain...even with that heavier than average truck. When the time comes for new skins on the current 2500, I will look hard at them again.

The only think I can say about them is that they are a little squishy and roll hard...I used them for "winter" tires, and the driveability between them and my Pirelli STRa summer tires were night and day, the STRa were like driving on rails and I netted 2 to 3 mpg more running them than the Revo IIs.
