Getting rid of white text on tire.

Postby JORADO22 [OP] » Jun 25 2011, 8:12pm

Any ideas out there about painting or getting rid of the white text on my tires without having to take them off and turn them around? It takes away from my rims!

Let my wife parallel park it a couple of times. Those letters will be scrubbed right off.

Oddly enough, my neighbors have used a white grease pen of some sort to bring out the outline their tires, seems you could use black to do the opposite?!?!

EDIT:
yes, 'my neighbors have' would be correct since there is a father and his three boys...all Chevy fans (which is good) and if memory serves me....one day no one had raised white lettered tires, then the next day, they all did...strange; almost like the moon's gravitational pull had some affect on all their tires only.

Here's what the absence of white letters will look like on your truck:

Here is the addition of wheel well liners to really clean it up:

Dismount, or buy a case of Sharpies® and draw over the letters once a week. :D

I think it looks better with the rwol...but that's my opinion and I don't own his truck.

I took mine to firestone and they charged me $40 total to dismount and turn them around. I liked it a lot better than the owls. Other side had black outline so it wasn't just smooth it had some look to it. I like the black liner. Well worth the money.
