gm TPMS relearn tool

part # needed

gm TPMS relearn tool

Postby baltravens [OP] » Oct 27 2012, 4:35pm

can anyone please pass along the GM Part # for the
tpms "relearn tool" that my owners manual says I
can purchase from my local dealer, since it appears
that the "horn beep" method is no longer listed in the
manual on how to sync up my tire pressure sensors?
thanks

I tried to obtain one of these:-
https://gmspecialservicetools.spx.com/T ... x?id=5677'
Paid for it and waited and waited......dropped them a chase up email and found out I was expected to wait for months before it would be delivered........got my money refunded.
Then went and ordered one of these:-
http://www.amazon.com/Model-KTI-71990-P ... reset+tool
A lot more expensive than the GM tool but it was delivered swiftly.
I have used it when installing aftermarket rims/tires on my other GM vehicle and also on my Silverado. Its a breeeze to use and it takes only a couple of minutes to reset the TPMS.
I consider it money well spent as I can switch wheels on both vehicles without getting gouged at the tire shop.
Hope this helps

I use the one here: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/det ... ng+Systems

I purchased online from tirerack.com.

Have used successfully on several vehicles.

Good luck
