Mastercraft are owned by cooper tires and they are made in Findlay Ohio. I have read nothing but good reviews on gmt400 forum.

Not so much with the model you're looking at, but I ran Courser MSR snow tires on my Trailblazer, and "fell" into a set (17" as well) for my Silverado this past December.

I cannot say enough good things about them. Absolutely phenominal in the snow, and (at least on the Trailblazer) after several seasons of use, still tons of life left. Right now, my Silverado is amazing in the snow with these tires. Switch it into 4wd and it's un-stoppable.
