I was just wondering what the biggest tire I could fit on my stock 17 steel wheels would be without a leveling kit. I want to throw something like some nittos but not sure how big I could go. And I want to keep them at a 17 because that's probably the biggest size rim I'll ever go. Actually what is the best setup for the $?

Here is a link for retreads that have pretty good reviews. Alot of tire for the money. This size on the link is about as big as I would go, but you can squeeze alittle bigger but you will get rubbing. https://www.treadwright.com/c-21-265-70r17.aspx.

i asked that question not that long ago an the response i got was 285 would go on it. i have yet to do it but thats the size ill be going for when i do.

You can use the 285/70R17 but It will rub a little bit when you turn. You can fix that with a 2" RC Leveling kit. We have them for 65.00.

It should not void the warranty,... unless you find that one guy at the deler with a bug up his butt.
I do install level kits on brand new trucks for the dealers around here with no issues, so you should be good.

is there ever any problems after they're installed? Loss in mpgs? Ride quality? If it effects those things I probably won't do it.

i asked my local dealer if putting a cat back on my chevy would void the warranty he said no that he loves loud trucks
