Tire downsize?

Hey,
I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 short bed crew cab. I have a 6" lift, running BFG's 315-70-R17's. I need new tires and was looking for cheaper tires. I was thinking about a smaller tire? Can I run something smaller than 315's? Just looking to cut costs. Any advice?

i think the smallest size would be 33 or 285 because 315 are 35 so its two in less but its probly not that much cheaper u should probly stay with the 315. maybe u should go with a different brand not the bfg they r expensive no matter what size
