TPMS Relearn Procedure: Truck - 3 Me - 0

Postby SOCOMShooter [OP] » Mar 24 2013, 1:14am

1500LT 5.3L
Does not have buttons next to gauge cluster

Well, the new rims/tires went on the truck today, along with the leveling kit. Went to put the truck into relearn mode and, well...just not having any luck. Tried the headlight switch, lock/unlock buttons on the fob, and odometer reset methods. So far, nothing's worked. No message displays on the dash, no horn honks, no flashing TPMS light in the cluster.

Any thoughts, anyone?

Run it by a discount tire or another wheel place and they can do it for you
Discount does it for free takes 30sec to do or if you plan to run summer/winter wheels you can buy a tool to do it yourself

I did buy the programmer. The problem is getting the truck into the mode where I can actually program the sensors

^^^^ That is how I have been doing for years and it always worked for me. Let air out of tire till horn honks once move clockwise aroung truck when you finish the left rear horn will honk twice.

Hmmm... Now, when I tried the lock/unlock method with the fob, I didn't have the key in the ignition as well. Does the parking brake have to be engaged?

I never use the parking brake so I don't think it is required.

Here are screenshots of my 2013 owner's manual. Hope this helps. BTW is does say to set the parking brake....maybe it's something simple like that. Good luck.
