Hi, just wondering if anyone in the Maritim Region of Canada has any suggestions as to where to get new wheels for my truck. Looking to do something before I put the summers back on.

A few places of the top of my head that i can think of...
-Dartmouth Surplus, i remember they had a side shop that had wheels/tires for sale.
-Grab-N-G0 just off the highway in Bible Hill, Truro...mostly discontinued, scratch and dent kinda stuff from what i hear, but i think they can order stuff in as well.
-CVO offroad shop in the HRM region

dartmouth surplus tires are now called dsl also try auto world in burnside and action truck caps in hrm.

I think that about covers it around here. Action truck caps is in burnside too - just before Dartmouth crossing. I try to buy everything I can from CVO, they give outstanding customer service and are willing to negotiate their prices. Action is good too, but I've been trying to order some stuff from RBP from there and I'm well into my second month waiting on delivery, not that that's actions fault!

Nice to see a couple maritimers on here too!

i've never been to CVO but do they have a lot of items in their place, or is it all mostly catalogs and then ordered in when a customer wants something?
-Like do they have tons of different rims, lift kits, exhausts etc/etc to see first hand?

They do have some but not much, a few wheels and some demo stuff. Everything I have bought has had to be ordered in; it never took more than a day or two though. I found Action to be the same way unless you are getting a fairly common item; they had my weathertech floor mats in because they are popular but they only stock one set at a time. I think thats going to be the norm around here.

Another thing I was wondering is if there is anyone that sells take off wheels around? I'd be happy with a set of 17" 6spoke alloys if there were someone that sold those around for a reasonable price. It's good to see a few Maritimers on here..Cheers

Don't know if there's Craigslist in Canada, but here in Texas there are new take offs ALL over Craigslist. Hit that up, just gotta put you haggling hat on and get to it. I sold my stocks with my stock tires for 400$. I wish I kept em, and plasti dipped em. I don't really like my monsters anymore..

Wow Texas, I would love to find something like that around here, seems as though most take offs I find on kijiji(another craigslist type trader) are above 700 for just the wheels. Mostly the same around Canada, and shipping from the US makes it hard to buy across border.

well the tires had 30,000 miles on it...dont know that in kilometers but about half tread left

maybe you could get on the nearest US craigslist, meet a guy across the boarder, drive em back?
