Has anyone found a good kit for remote start. I just bought a 1500 Z71 LT.... when I say just bought I haven't taken delivery yet. But I'm not sure if it has remote start or not so looking for a kit if it doesn't. Thanks in advance.

If it does not have remote start, the first thing you should do is look at the RPO list for the truck and if it has the AP8 code, then that means it is all wired for factory remote start and all you need is an activation code and new remotes and the dealer can activate it in 15 minutes. If you purchase the kit with activation code and remotes through the dealer he will probably charge you several hundred dollars. I got my kit on ebay for $115 and had the dealer do the activation for $70. If your truck has an AP3 code, that means it has the remote start already active. As far as after market remote systems go, I have heard good things about VIPER.
