Dulpi colour armour box liner 1 gal kit

Well decide to paint my box today and after mixed reviews on the kits I choose the dupi colour kit. $134 for the kit $10 on 800 grit sand paper and $15 on de greaser. I must admit the kit works amazing. Discard the sand block that comes in the kit. The prep is the key thing to the kit for sure spent about 3 hours sanding the gloss off and de greasing and making sure the box is dry. Two coats worked amazing and I am more than happy with the end result. She's sat drying indoors tonight and I'll post a final pic tomorrow.

I used Herculiner and am completely happy with it. The one gallon kit is only $69 ($49 when on sale). I had not seen a good review of the Duplicolor kit so this will be interesting to follow. If there is one drawback I can see with the Herculiner over other DIY bedliners is the fact that the Herculiner is very rough when done. It is great for traction, grip and for preventing things from sliding around in the bed, but it is hell on bare skin. You don't want to be crawling around in there in short pants. The Herculiner has small ground up chunks of tires mixed it which gives it the rough texture. For a purely industrial use, it would be excellent.

PS: It looks like you did a wonderful job on the sanding prep. Do you also have to wipe it down with a solvent? I had to use Xylol to prep after sanding and before application of the bedliner.

Yeah I swept it out good let it settle then brushed again. Then I used a de greaser wiped thru three times following with a dry rag took nearly all the dust particles away too. Temperature dropped bad last night so she's still not fully cured. I'm not using my box for a while now due to work and being away so she should cure a lot harder being parked in our yard. The coarseness looks medium and not over the top so I'm happy with the result.

WOW, you did that all with the cover on. That must have been hell on the back.
Looks like a great job though. I think you will find it to be money and time well spent.

Take the 3 or 4 Benjamins that he saved and lay them in the bed and it would look even better.

Also interested to see it last.

Yeah it's the Canadian tire kit for $134 the $99 kit you have to mix rubber in with the paint and add hardner, so I went for this kit after mixed reviews. The negative reviews were probably from people not doing the prep work. But I found a review with pictures of what the guy did with instructions so I did it his way. My box isn't gonna be used much as I'm a long haul driver but I'll throw something in when I'm back and go for a rip.
