Brake hoses

Brake hoses

Postby mprblue [OP] » Mar 30 2021, 6:24pm

1996 half ton 2WD GMC. Brakes started pulling recently. The pads were changed last year and are not worn. I figured that the hoses could be the problem and being that they were 25 years old, I changed them. $75 at Oreill'ys for all three and now truck stops straight. Other than having to pull the emissions canister to get to the left connection, it was a straight forward job.

They are a pretty common problem along all makes and models of vehicles when they get older.
