Hey yall is there a way to replace the bulbs on the push button hvac controls.. one of my buttons stopped illuminating and I'd rather not replace the entire controller thanks !oh .. it's a 2011 Silverado ltz If that makes a difference

I am not sure but suspect they are lit by leds and not bulbs.

Thanks. So I'm guessing the entire controller has to be replaced ? Or can the LEDs be replaced??

Either way you are taking the entire unit out. Then you could potentially solder on a new LED or just swap in a new unit.

Thanks.. it was working yesterday..it might need soldered I can't find a controller for less than 100 used.. or 500 new on Ebay.. so I'm definitely going to try and fix it lol

I know a few guys that have replaced the small bulbs in the HVAC unit as well as the sm. bulbs in the radio buttons on other GM vehicles.
I'll try to reach out to them and find out the source and size of the bulbs. Could take a few days but is very doable. These guys prefer to fix what they had rather than replacing the whole unit. Radio Shack used to be a source many years ago but now with the internet everything is available, mostly from China, but not always.
