Here is a pic of my climate control stuff under the dash. Trying to put in or change the cabin air filter and don’t see the spot I am supposed to cut. I think I see a spot I could cut anyways? Thanks a million!!

You e probably better off without it. Thise things are nohing but problems. I recently had to dig into my evap box and my evap core is perfectly clean, running as a work truck since 2013

Here is mine
The little screw is the bottom part of the retrofit kit. You have to cut the bottom part out to slide the filter in then you screw the plate in to hold it in place. The difference I noticed when doing this was the inside of the cab wasn't as dusty, as it was before I did it. I replaced the filter after being in there for about 4 years and it needed to be replaced. It was dirty.

Hope this helps

Hey guys, thank you for all of your responses I really appreciate it. I don’t think my airbox is the same one that you have which is strange because mine is a 2010. Do you have a centre consul? I just have A bench in the front that folds down... thank you both domie and walker. I’m pretty hellbent on having one because I drive up a lot of dusty logging roads up here in Canada and there’s always a thick layer of dust all over my interior if I forgot to turn the HVAC system off. Putting it on recycle does not quite fix it either if I want AC. Has anyone tried to retrofit mine into my type of airbox? I have tried doing more research on this forum and others and don’t have a solid answer on my TV besides one guy that custom fabricated a new system. Thanks 1 million guys!

Thanks dommieboy, I looked at that but when I hold the cover to the retrofit kit up over that they are different sizes and same for the filter. Are you suggesting I could cut that, buy a different filter and fabricate a cover?

Your HVAC box looks like its missing the boss for the screw and the part that you would cut out should be flat and recessed. What type of climate control does yours have? The TSB says it excludes RPO C67.

I flossed over that you are missing the part where the bolt would go in. I wonder if they make a kit for your rpo code or if you would have to fab something up to get it to work.

Another one!

You have the work truck air box = no cabin filter. The base trucks don’t have the same air box as the rest. If you don’t have dual climate control it’s a no go.

I bought the stuff and figured out I cant use it for the same reasons.. still sitting on a shelf in the garage.

I would have thought only the WT models couldn't accept the filter mod but I was wrong because my LT will not.

side note, I will sell it to someone lol
