Carparts.com legit?

The price on this grille and the humper cap seem way too cheap to pass up, does this seem weird to anybody else? This is an amazing deal I just don’t understand how come it is this cheap. Normally the grille is about $150 and the bumper cap is $70 but the bumper cap not linked here is only $20?!?! Any use these guys before?

First time I've see the site, myself. Probably all low grade Chinesium.

Not that I'm a fan of the BBB, but see if there are any legitimate reviews anywhere or other user experiences.

It could be legit, but I would be wary. They might be trying to shadow the legit and popular https://www.car-part.com/

Quick look on their site shows they have been around for just over 20 years. Car-Parts.com has been around since 1998...only one year longer.

So the Carpart.com company probably is not some fly-by-night operation,. but as stated, they use cheaply manufactured items..

When you really look at it, it's grossly disturbing how cheap all of the parts we need can be had, but we pay more for the name brand and service factor...and a lot more to get that from GM directly with an OEM level part.

Maybe I missed something on their web site, but I wonder if some of their stuff is used or salvage parts?

Just add that part to your cart and when you see what they charge for shipping and handling you will know how they sell the parts so cheap. Just think how much you would be out if you had to return that $19.98 part. You can bet your ass they aren't going to refund the shipping and handling you paid plus you will have to pay to ship it back.

Also beware of any online retailer that only accepts PayPal or credit cards through PayPal. Notice that they don't specify the brand? All those things are red flags telling you that you are gong to be screwed!

Given the size of the bumper cap, that shipping is about right.

Shipping large objects isnt cheap. Even if they are light weight.

But I have never heard of this site before. I usually stick to places like LMC truck for aftermarket parts like that. I've always had good luck with them.

Not that this makes them legit, but they're a vendor on the GMT400 site. I've never bought anything from them, though.

Interesting, thanks for all the replies

I agree with LMC truck that is what I have been using most recently but the bumper cap and grille are $200 dollars without shipping iirc and the grille does not even come with the bow tie which by itself is $90!!!!! But yeah I am not sure what I will do, the HD conversion is a few months away so hopefully I will find a deal by then just was looking at this and thought wow that is incredible

The good thing about the gmt800 trucks is that they are getting older, which means more of them will be found in junk yards.

So for things like a conversion, I'd definitely exhaust all my local parts resources before buying new. Sometimes you even get lucky and find stuff in the color you need.
