I'm starting to get lots of white spots in my clear from sitting outside. Pine needles, pitch, bugs sitting on the clear. Even with layers of wax..they are really acidic.

One way or another get the bumper painted a d wrap your whole front end in Xpel. Costly but worth it for no chips and a 10 year warranty. Stay away from 3m since it will look like **** after a few years. The xpel won't fade or anything for years and even if it does they will cover rewrap

So I'm reading through this post and I remember how stubborn tree sap was for me. If left on for long amount of time it will pit your paint and also your windows. I use clay bar. If that dont work then a rag with methyl hydrate (known as gas line antifreeze). I use a special sponge for bugs. When bugs are that bad I have presoaked with good old bug wash wiper fluid before washing. Got my sponge from a dollar store for a buck or 2 and it works pretty good.

For the tree sap definitely use a clay bar. Or you could try some bug and tar remover. Might try a medium clay bar first and if that don’t take it off move up to a heavy clay bar. Chemical guys have some very good clay bar options and trust me they work. They also have a great bug and tar remover. I detail cars on the side and I use a lot of their products. As far as preventing the tree sap, a wax isn’t going to help you much. You need to use a good sealant. I have used chemical guys jetseal and it’s ok. I really like jescar power lock plus for a sealant. Easier to remove than jetseal. A sealant will help protect your paint from issues like this. Tree sap, rail dust, water spot etching, etc.

A clay bar doesn't really do anything for the sap I get on my vehicles. I use Turtle Wax bug tar and sap remover along with some alcohol pads. Had to get 5 or 6 bits of hard sap off my hood today and it took a while but the turtle wax and alcohol finally softened them up enough to be removed.

Best thing for sap is denatured alcohol and a rag. Don't rub it very hard. Dab it and let it soak and you'll see it wear right off.
