Mileage

Mileage

Postby BlueBurd [OP] » Jul 07 2020, 12:57am

I have a 2020 AT4 with the wrangler duratrac tires. Currently I have 4,000 miles. I’m getting around 18 city and 21 highway. We did make a trip of 800 miles interstate running 80+ with the cruise control and got around 25mpg.
Just curious what others are getting.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

That's some pretty decent fuel milage. I think the highest I've seen reported for the 3.0 was like 30mpg or so on the highway. And I believe it was a crew cab short bed.

The 3.0 is definitely a motor I will be watching closely. Especially once tuning becomes available

I've never owned a diesel but the new 3.0 is one I would definitely consider in the future.

Nice! I am keeping an eye on them to see how they do. This would be a great daily to work compared to the 14-16mpg mine gets. Like eric said maybe tuning will be available in the near future too.

2020 at4 crew cab 6' bed on duratracs here. Just hit 4000 miles. Here in PA you are either mashing it up a hill or braking down one. Only hauled 1 substantial load so far. Average mpg is right around 25, best average was 27.6

I have a 2019 AT4 crew cab 6.2 motor with the duratrac tires just hit 10,000 miles.
Just got back from a 1000 mile trip averaged 21 mpg. the best was 25.4 running 70-75.
I thought that was pretty good.

I have the 2020 LT Z71 with Duratrac tires. I've put roughly 1,100 miles on it so far between my home and Burlington VT, roughly 1,000 ft elevation up then down. I'm getting between 20 and 22 mpg, obviously depending on my average speed. The info I'm a bit more interested in is the mpg on the DEF, anyone keep track of their consumption?

1,953 miles total on my 2020 1500 3.0L crew cab standard bed LT RST 4wd.

the first trip after buying it in late Oct was a 1,000 round trip from NW OH to BG, KY for work. avg 28mph on the way down, running between 65-73mph, on the way home got between 26-28 mpg running 70-75 mph.

Currently, its lifetime avg is 25.4mpg which is great considering that most of the last 900 miles have been local driving on rural roads without any highway trips.

really enjoying the powertrain, including the 10 speed.

coming from a 2015 ltz z71 with the 6.2L and 8speed (WORSTS transmission I have ever had from GM, ist gen 8spd). that over its life averaged 19 mpg on 153k miles. I loved the 6.2L, it was just the 8spd that drove me crazy. spend $56K on a truck and have the transmission also feel like it was the week link in the chain. glad GM upgraded to the 10 spd.
