EGR delete

A friend of mine has a 2007 NNBS 2500 Duramax. He is interested in doing an EGR delete. Can anyone point us to a write-up for this project? Thanks!

There are several decent videos on YouTube showing removal.

Most of the threads and such will be either gone, or buried since people are hesitant to talk about it these days.

The LBZ motor will be very similar to yours, so using videos for that motor will be nearly the same. The LMM is essentially an LBZ with a DPF.

It isn't a bad job. Just kind of a pain. I highly recommend a new up pipe as opposed to block off plates. They tend to leak, and end up cracking the bellows on the up pipe. Some of them have supports to help reduce that, but you can get the LB7 style up pipe for pretty cheap.
