So I took my "New to me" 2009 chevy crew Z71 to a local tuner and I thought I'd share my results...
I don't own a large camper/trailer or anything else that I would have to haul, my truck is mainly just something for me to drive back and forth for work and to enjoy! So power was important, but fuel economy was a bigger deal to me! Lucky me, the tuner was able to give me both! I can't go into much detail as to what he done, but I can show you the results! The tuners shop was around 45 minutes away, on the way there the best I could get was 13.8 MPG HWY. (my truck has a 6" lift with 35" tires) the way home you ask?





It only cost me $230!

Before anyone says it, I know this is just an average....
The tuner disabled the "Theft Deterrent System" per my request, I had a bad experience! Also, changed my speedometer to the correct number which was 5 mph off due to the 35" tires. Changed it to where its always in V8, I've read to many horror stories about people having to replace engines or expensive parts due to that feature and smoothed out the shifts. I don't have any dyno pulls because he was in the process of moving to a bigger shop, but it's obvious riding in the truck! More power with less gas! Can't complain about that!

I'm tuned on 93 octane...soooo when I mash the pedal..it's all
And the mpg's aren't that bad either...

it was a difficult decision! I've always owned vehicles tuned for 93, I guess I just want something different. I've always been "Proformance" minded when it comes to my cars/trucks, this time is different... I want to be able to drive this truck everyday without it eating into my pocket to bad, so far so good!
