CRC Intake Valve Cleaner

CRC Intake Valve Cleaner

Postby jwood10 [OP] » Oct 19 2019, 6:39pm

Im gonna spray the CRC intake valve cleaner in the truck today. I have a catch can installed, i am just gonna shoot it through the hose. Which hose do i use? The one routed next to the throttle body, or the one located on the drivers side? Thanks.

The one on the driver side going into the intake. So the outlet from your CC.

Ok cool. Thats the one i used the first time, and i already went ahead and did it through the same one again. I was just double checking, but then i saw on another site someone said to go by the throttle body.

When I do the BG fuel service at work we have an adapter to run it through the throttle body, which is best because it cleans the throttle body as well as the intake. Without the tool though it would be hard to do.

I have used CRC Intake Valve Cleaner for some time. I shoot it right thru the throttle body on both my 2015 2500 6.0 and 2017 Equinox 2.4. I drilled a hole in the air intake plenum close to the throttle body and stick the hose into it so that spray hose is pointed at the throttle body. Going thru the throttle body better guarantees equal distribution to all cylinders.

Oh, for the hole I drilled in the air intake plenum, I just put a wide headed screw in it for normal use. Simply remove when I do the next CRC job.
