HI everyone,
This is a question more out of curiosity than anything... I am not looking to do this but it has piqued my curiosity the amount of oil that seems to be going back into these intakes is quite large over time
With this PCV system coking up our intakes, what would prevent (besides the legality issues from the EPA) from just running tube from the PCV valve down below the engine and frame, and putting a breather filter on the intake, and also doing this same tube down from the passenger side valve cover and capping off the intake port on the air intake? Wouldn't this eliminate the coking issue even if this ran to a catch can and then vented to the atmosphere so we aren't greasing up our roadways
Would this set off some sort of engine code?
The reason I ask is coming from a Diesel, knowing all of the deletes that take place there with EGR, DPF, NOx, etc. this modification seems to be on the same track as those... Granted not EPA legal, but could it be done this way?
Thanks
