I see a lot of CRC cleaner being used on youtube , is this a good method or is there something better? :?:

more info would be nice. We talking spray? fuel tank addative? Just use seafoam spray though throttle body and follow instructions on can. Cant go wrong

CRC is fine. Seafoam is also used often, and what I've used myself more commonly than CRC. No specific reason.. Just make sure you spray past the MAF sensor...spray enough to almost stall, then hold off.. I do this 3 or 4 times, then I spray to stall and let it sit for an hour or so if I can...fire it up and it will smoke off the gunk and remaining spray.

What motor do you have? Becasue this is posted in the vortec section. Intake cleanings are more common on the ecotec motors due to the carbon buildup on the back of the intake valves. I can move to the correct section if you have an ecotec

No. Ecotec is the newer direct injected motors that started in 2014 for the trucks with the k2xx body style.

Your 2012 would be the vortec.
