2003: No brake lights (All other indicators good)

Postby johnadodson [OP] » May 08 2017, 3:18am

I have checked bulbs, fuses, the brake pedal switch, and relays. Turn signals, running lights, hazards, reverse lights, and cab lamp are all in working order. However, there is absolutely no response by any light to braking. I am hoping someone has faced a similar problem and is willing to assist. Thank You

Have you checked the body grounds?

There seems to be a ground at the rear harness near the spare tire. I have tried to avoid wire tracing in hopes that I may come across a more efficient solution. Are you readily aware of of ground points?

I'm not sure where they are all located. You will need to find a wiring diagram to find out where they are. This site may be able to help with that: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/Wd

Spend a few moments looking at the rear light break out panel attached at the rear of the truck. It has a feed harness from the cab then splits to 3 subharnesses. two for the brake likes and one for the license lights. could have an issue with a frayed wire.
